What makes the Low Back Pain Program at Body Gears different is our comprehensive, systematic approach to posture and exercise education and training. Our skilled therapists will investigate your body’s automatic reaction to external forces,,the dynamic between global and local musculature and their activation patterns, and homunculus mapping.

Our therapists will also investigate your sleep positioning and your posture. We know there is so much more to good posture than just telling someone to “sit up straight.” “Sleep on your back” is also much easier said than done. Good posture involves not just how we sit or stand, but how we move as well. The therapists at Body Gears use a progression of exercises with highly specific verbal and manual cues to train patients on how to find and maintain an efficient base of support and alignment. In turn, this enables proper core activation (lumbar protective mechanism) in static positions and throughout any and all functional movements that are relevant to the patient’s life. Our therapists also take the time to assess each patient’s sleep positioning on the first visit to teach patients how to properly position and support their body COMFORTABLY.
