Mark graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Health Fitness and Rehabilitative Programs before earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University – Downers Grove.
I find the overhead throwing motion so fascinating as it requires so many parts of the body to work in segmental fashion in order to complete such a complicated task. I also like treating it as there are many potential areas that could pose a problem. I get to play detective to correct the mechanics and return the patient to high level performance.
I really enjoy working with athletes from all backgrounds, employing a variety of techniques and programs to return them to the highest level of competition. Nothing gets me more excited than to personally invest in an athlete’s drive and determination to compete and work towards being the best.
I enjoy working with athletes and post-operative patients. Athletes compete at such high levels, and it’s great to return them to competing and succeeding. With post-operative patients, we begin at a low level of function and improve to a high level activity that was unimaginable before surgery.
Altruism, compassion, and scholarship have been the foundational values of my professional career. I strive to continue to learn, develop, and grow every day while providing the highest level of care. These values allow me to emotionally invest in every individual patient, as well as develop creative solutions to improve their mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
Body Gears provides a one-on-one, patient-first rehabilitation experience that utilizes a variety of skills, expertise, and a team-based approach to attain optimal results for all patients. Body Gears goes above and beyond the competition in all aspects of physical therapy.
I typically use the phrase “Motion is lotion” quite often.
Outside of work I love to spend time with my wife and two Goldendoodles. I am an avid reader and sports enthusiast who enjoys learning whenever I get the opportunity.
My wife and I stay active by going to the gym, go on long walks with our dogs, and stay active on the weekends.
