What Jennifer Has to Say

Why do you work for Body Gears?

What makes Body Gears so special is our commitment to excellence, not just as an organization, but as a team. We work together to make our patients better. I love working with other physical therapists who are so dedicated to helping patients reach their goals.

Which patients are your favorite to work with?

I love working through all different kinds of challenges with a diverse group of patients – from triathletes to weekend warriors to women who are postpartum.

What catchphrase do most of your patients remember you by?

“Motion is lotion.”

Where did you earn your physical therapy degree?

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions. It was an amazing experience learning from some of the smartest PTs in the world. It was wonderful going to school in the Charlestown Navy Yard and walking by the USS Constitution and navy ships every morning on my way to class.

What certifications are you working towards?

I am certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. I am also certified in Functional Dry Needling Level 1, and a Certified Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association. I would like to continue working towards a manual therapy certification.

How do you stay active?

I stay active by participating in triathlons, half marathons, and playing with my children and puppy. This year, I am training for my first full marathon – the Chicago Marathon.

Describe your perfect day.

My perfect day would start with a nice long run, followed by brunch (the best meal of the day), and then hanging out outside with my family.
