Francis McDonald, PT, DPT

From a young age, Francis knew he wanted to be a physical therapist. He grew up with a father who would come home from work every day passionately talking about how much he loved his job as a physical therapist.

Francis fostered his own passion for physical therapy attending Saint Louis University earning his BS in Exercise Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Throughout his time at SLU, he enjoyed advocating for physical therapy by making music videos, serving as an ambassador for the program, and speaking at various engagements. Francis especially enjoyed sharing his passion for health sciences by speaking at the 2017 graduation for the Doisy College of Health Sciences about the importance of constantly pursuing academic, professional, and personal growth after leaving school.

After 6 months of practicing physical therapy and enrolling in additional coursework to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, Francis discovered Body Gears Physical Therapy. He quickly fell in love with the company’s mission, approach to physical therapy, and passion to spread the good news of physical therapy to the world. He could not wait to join such an incredible company! Francis joined the Body Gears team in February 2018.

In his free time, Francis enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and poodle. He also enjoys hiking, running, exercising, playing guitar, ukulele, and banjo, and eating Indian food.
