Rebecca Johnson, PT, MPT, OCS, CMPT, CLT, CFMT, Physical Therapist

Rebecca Johnson enjoys treating abdominal surgical incisions, running injuries, neck and back dysfunctions and women’s health. “Being a part of the Body Gears Team means working with an exceptional team where we can bring the hope of real relief to patients who until now thought they would have to live with their pain.”

Rebecca graduated from Midwestern University with her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1998. Her undergraduate work was in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.  She earned her certification as a Lymphedema Therapist in 1999 and began studying with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) in 2006 where she became a Certified Manual Therapist in 2010. In that same year, Rebecca was awarded the distinction of a Board Certified Clinical Orthopedic Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. Most recently, Rebecca adds to her level of expertise by becoming a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) since 2016.

Rebecca is very dedicated and passionate about the individualized care each patient receives. She truly has an art for treating a wide variety of patients and diagnoses and continues to fine-tune her high-level techniques to identify each patient’s source of pain and dysfunction more efficiently.

Rebecca enjoys the most important thing of all, family time with her husband and two children. Special interests include the outdoors, camping, skiing and running.
