Dr. Zane Brandt graduated from San Diego State University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. In addition to receiving special recognition for clinical excellence while at SDSU, he has trained and developed his skills under some of the most highly regarded experts in the field. He continues to strive for excellence as he progresses towards a certification in Functional Manual Therapy®.
His experience includes working with top level athletes including MLB’s San Diego Padres, neurological and trauma patients at Palomar Hospital, and chronic pain conditions at the San Diego Pain Summit. These unique experiences and training have given him the skill set to assess, treat, and rehabilitate a wide range of patient populations.
Zane has undergone substantial continuing education training with the Institute of Physical Art® focusing on Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation for the re-integration of functional movement patterns through developmental sequencing, and Core First Strategies®, enabling individuals to achieve efficient body alignment and core activation. These techniques lead to long term neuromuscular changes that enhance specific biomechanics unique to each individual.
Zane’s dedication to his profession extends into the classroom and in the community. He is a Faculty member at University of St. Augustine, currently teaching Movement Science in their Doctor of Physical Therapy program. In addition, he is a member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM), an inter-professional association of integrative clinicians who embrace a person-centered, team-based approach to health care. Outside of Body Gears, Zane enjoys an active lifestyle outdoors including soccer, surfing, hiking, triathlons, and camping.
