What Andrea Has to Say

What aspect of movement do you find the most fascinating? Why?

The body and mind’s ability to learn and adapt quickly – seeing a patient’s face light up the moment they understand a concept, cue, or correction and are able to apply it to their movement/activity is one of the best feelings.

List 3-5 specialty areas. What is one specialty area that makes you stand out?

I enjoy focusing on Orthopedics and Women’s Health. I’m also proficient in functional dry needling and Lymphedema treatment using compression bandage wrapping and MLD.

Which patients are your favorite to work with?

I particularly love working with dancers and other performance artists.

What are your values and how did they influence your career?

Always walk in with a smile on my face – be the positivity I want to feel from others around me!

Why do you work for Body Gears?

The emphasis on one-on-one, unique patient-centered care & emphasis on collaboration with co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare providers are what made me choose Body Gears.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’ve been a dancer most of my life and continue to drop into classes as I can in the city. I also love running, playing piano/guitar, watching a good movie, and playing with my two dogs!

How do you stay active?

I run every day, dance, and play with my two dogs, Churro and Banjo!
