Kicks Off Fundraising Effort to Raise in Support of Special Olympics Chicago
CHICAGO, Ill., January 14 2015- Body Gears Physical Therapy, a leader in physical therapy and leading provider of Functional Manual Therapy™ in the Midwest, has announced its sponsorship of the 16th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge taking place March 6, 2016 at North Avenue Beach.
“We are thrilled to be sponsoring the 2016 Polar Plunge,” stated Body Gears president and physical therapist April Oury. “We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and this opportunity really resonated with our staff. Everyone is excited about getting involved and giving back to an incredible organization that transforms the lives of people with disabilities.”
In addition to sponsoring the 16th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge, Body Gears has created its own team of over 40 plungers to participate in the Polar Plunge and help raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Chicago.
“We are also encouraging adventurous patients, friends and colleagues to make the polar promise and join us on March 6,” stated Oury. “People can join the Body Gears team or make a monetary donation – or both. We can’t wait to make a splash and raise money to support Special Olympics athletes throughout Chicagoland.”
“Special Olympics Chicago gives a warm welcome to Body Gears, a new sponsor this year,” stated Dr. Casey Hogan, president of SCC/Special Olympics Chicago. “Their sponsorship means so much to our organization and the 5,500 athletes we support. We’re struck by the enthusiasm the Body Gears team is bringing to the Polar Plunge this year. This is an incredible partnership.”
